Wolfe Plumbing & Heating Services, an RGI, Solas & SEAI certified company, has been serving commercial and domestic clients throughout the Leinster region for nearly 20 years. The company’s CEO and founder, Karl Wolfe, recently discussed the business’s current projects and future hopes.
Since its inception in 2007, Wolfe Plumbing & Heating has grown steadily, despite the challenges posed by the recession in 2008. Karl Wolfe recalled the early days of the business, saying “The recession hit in ’08, but I never really had no work.”
The company’s founder started out on his own, but soon began building a team. Today, they operate with a dedicated team of 15 staff and six vans on the road, earning the trust of leading builders and developers throughout Ireland.
Wolfe Plumbing & Heating is currently handling numerous housing projects across Leinster, combining new builds and retrofits. Their projects illustrate the scope and scale of their operations, with sites in Greystones, Wicklow, Dunlavin, Laois, Dalkey, and Blackrock.
The company is operating at full capacity, with Karl Wolfe stating “Business is very good. There’s a lot of work ahead of us.” They are working on the third site in Dunlavin, named Market Close, and have approximately 40 live retrofits going on, in addition to 60 odd houses in Mountrath and 70 houses in Dunlavin.

It focuses on developer-led projects, rather than private work, allowing the team to concentrate on complex, high-quality jobs. Karl Wolfe attributes the company’s success to a combination of personal involvement and a skilled team, saying “It could be just that it’s me and the fact that I’ve good lads working here.”
